Trinity Comforters
It started in the cold of winter, January 2007, when staying warm and comfortable was on everyone's mind. After hearing a compelling presentation by the staff at a neighborhood health care center, knitting and quilting groups at Trinity (Trinity Comforters as they chose to call themselves) began gathering every Tuesday afternoon to make baby blankets and quilts for expectant mothers served by the Raphael Health Center. Joining the project were our Sunday school children, who made 20 fleece blankets. When the project was completed, 85 baby blankets and quilts had been made for newborn babies of the Raphael Center. Blankets were blessed on Mother's Day 2007 and presented to executive director Hoagland Elliott, board member, Lloyd Tucker and staff.
Trinity Comforters currently meet every Tuesday afternoon at 1 pm in the Crist Room. Interested? Just show up and be prepared to jump in.
