Encourage Indiana wildlife with native plant sale and auction
What better way to encourage Indiana wildlife than including in your gardens the native plants they count on for food or cover. You can get native plants for your garden at the Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society (INPAWS) annual native plant sale and auction on Saturday, May 10, at Trinity/St. Richard's, in the gymnasium. The plant sale begins at 10 am, with the auction starting at 11:15. All sale plants still remaining by about 12:15 will be sold as the last items of the auction. A selection of books on native plant gardening, wildflowers and other nature related topics will also be available. Tour Trinity Church
Join us for a tour of the Trinity Church following the 10:15 service, Sunday, May 11. Your tour guide will share information about the history of the church and the architecture and symbols in our worship space. Tours begin in the Cloister Room.
Mother's Day Car Wash, May 11
Journey to Adulthood (J2A) teens are holding their third annual Mother's Day car wash. We'll collect a free-will donation per car that goes toward the group's pilgrimage to British Columbia. It all begins at 9 am in the south lot of Trinity Church and continues until the last car is washed!
St. Monica's Guild Meets May 15
St. Monica's Guild meets Thursday, May 15, at the home of Harriet Stambaugh. (317) 253-9551. Rev'd Karen L. King is the guest speaker and will talk about the ongoing Trinity outreach projects. You are invited to attend.
Talents and Treasures: Plant Exchange, May 17
Trinity Talents and Treasures is hosting its very first plant exchange and brunch, Saturday, May 17, from 9 to 11 am. No money will exchange hands, only plants and dirt. Bring your favorite perennial plant to share - we provide containers and topsoil. The plant exchange takes place in the Lemler Garden followed by a light brunch in the Fortune Room. Sign-up sheets are available in the Cloister Room starting May 4.

Parish Picnic is May 18
The parish picnic is just around the corner. We celebrate our namesake Sunday - Trinity Sunday - May 18 this year with an old-fashioned picnic in St. Richard's Ruth Lilly Activities Center (gym) following the 10:15 service. Chicken and drinks are provided. If your last name begins with A-L, bring fruit or dessert; M-Z, a side dish. There will be games and prizes for the children.
Golfers Wanted!
Join us at the John P. Craine House Golf Outing, June 5, at Eagle Creek Golf Course. Lunch is served at 11:30 am, followed by a 12:30 pm shotgun start. An award ceremony wraps up this fun day. Entry fees are $100 for individual player, $200 hole spnsor, $400 corporate foursome and $550 for corporate foursome and hole sponsor. All proceeds benefit Craine House, a diocesan-sponsored half-way house for non-violent female offenders and their children. The New-to-You Sale has a New-to-Us Date
This annual grand daddy of rummage sales is the main fundraising event for the Midi-North Shepherd's Center, an interfaith program for active senior adults supported by our congregation. The sale will be held Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7. Your donations of new or gently used items in good repair are needed. Items can be brought to the center (3808 N. Meridian St.) or if you need assistance, arrangements can be made by calling Bernard Wurger at 251-8445 or the center at 924-0959. (No computer components or large appliances, please.)
Women's Week at Waycross, June 22 - 29
Kirsteen Wiklinson and Stephanie St John lead a week of laughing, sharing and fun at Waycross Episcopal Camp and Conference Center in Brown County, June 22 - 29. It's an eclectic blend of spiritual nourishment and physical restoration. There are sessions exploring, "Embracing our Imperfections," morning and evenings with stretches of leisurely time to relax, swim, read, have a massage, hike, learn to knit, work with art materials or simply rest.

Summer Sunday School starts July 13
A special six-week session of Godly Play begins July 31 and runs through Aug. 24. The children will explore the mysteries of water - everything from an outdoor baptism to building arks. Read more.
