The Rev'd Tom Kryder-Reid, Rector
Tom is responsible for the overall ministry and spiritual life of Trinity Church and has served as rector (or senior pastor) since 2000. Educated at Syracuse University, the University of Chicago, and Virginia Theological Seminary, he was ordained deacon and priest in 1986 and served as assistant rector of St. Columba’s Church, Washington D.C. and rector of St. Bartholomew’s Church, Baltimore before moving to Indianapolis in 1998. Prior to his election as Trinity’s rector he was a consultant for the Indianapolis Center for Congregations and priest in charge of St. Timothy’s Church. Tom’s wife Liz is a professor at IUPUI; their children are Emily, Caroline and Grace.

The Rev'd Karen L. King, Associate Rector for Outreach/Pastoral Care
Karen is responsible for the oversight of all Trinity’s outreach ministries to the community, which includes the Grants Ministry, the Sunday Dinner, a feeding ministry to neighborhood residents and several other volunteer ministries. She is also responsible for providing oversight of Trinity Outreach Center and pastoral care. Prior to coming to Trinity, Karen served as the executive director of a social services agency for more than 12 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Knoxville College, Knoxville, Tennessee, and a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Later she earned a master of divinity degree from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. Karen has two sons, David and Samuel.

The Rev'd Grace Burton-Edwards, Associate Rector/St. Richard’s Chaplain
Grace grew up in Baptist circles and was originally ordained there before finding her home in the Episcopal Church. At Trinity she enjoys coordinating learning opportunities for adults and meeting newcomers to the parish, plus the usual priestly work of liturgy, sacrament and pastoral care. At St. Richard’s she delights in teaching middle school religion classes and leading school chapels. She earned an MDiv from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis and a DMin from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. She and her husband Taylor have two teen sons, Jacob and Will.

Mr. Kevin DePrey, Parish Administrator
Kevin oversees all the business affairs of the parish—financial, facilities, support personnel, and office procedures. He has extensive experience as an administrator of religious institutions, having been director of the Fatima Retreat House of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis for 16 years and having served in two Catholic parishes prior to that. Kevin holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University and a master’s in pastoral ministry from Boston College. Kevin and his wife Emily Wren have been married for more than 30 years.

Dr. Michael Messina, Director of Music
Michael is responsible for the choir program involving both adults and children, the Music at Trinity series and is organist for St. Richard’s School. He has been director of music at Trinity since 1995 and also has 18 years experience serving Reform Jewish congregations. He holds the DMA and MMus degrees and the Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music and the BMus in Church Music (magna cum laude) from St. Olaf College. At Trinity, Michael has developed a mixed intergenerational choir that has made two pilgrimages to England, singing daily services at Winchester, Chichester, Bristol and Durham cathedrals. He is often seen at Trinity with his famous Shih-Tzu companion Norbu.

Matt Middleton, Assistant Organist
Matt's primary responsibility is to accompany the Trinity choirs and assist the director of music. He has worked as a missionary and music teacher in Egypt and Palestine, and as the organ scholar at Bristol Cathedral and St. Mary Redcliffe Church in England. He holds a master’s degree in music education from Boston University, a bachelor’s in organ performance from the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently pursuing a master’s in organ and sacred music from Jacobs School of Music.
Stephanie St John, Director of Children’s Ministries
Stephanie directs Trinity’s children's ministries programs as well as our all-parish events. Stephanie received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Charleston. She attended Xavier University to pursue a master's in education and Montessori teaching certificate. Stephanie taught at a Children’s Habitat Montessori School for six years, and received Godly Play accreditation in 2002. She is the mother of Braden and Abigail St John. As a family, they have attended Trinity since 2001.

Missy Roetter, Youth/Parish Opportunities Coordinator
Missy coordinates the Journey to Adulthood youth program and has been certified by Journey to Adulthood’s Leader Resources program. She has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Louisville and before working at Trinity, she worked 15 years in the retail industry. Along with her husband Fred, she has been a member of Trinity since 1988. The Roetters have two children, Lizzie and Nelson.

Virginia Rogers, Director of Communications
Virginia oversees all communications at Trinity, including the newsletter, service leaflets and this website. She completed a bachelor's degree in design from University of California, Davis. Virginia came to Trinity five years ago with some 20 years of communications experience. She and husband David spend as much time as possible in their Homecroft garden.

Dirk Edwards, Director of Facilities
Dirk oversees all operations and finances for the buildings and grounds for Trinity Church, St. Richards School, Trinity Outreach Center and Project Home Indy. He has been with Trinity since 1988 and has helped plan and manage seven additions and renovation projects here on campus. Before Trinity, Dirk served as facilities director for American Camping Association in Bradford Woods for five years and Sycamore Group for three years. Dirk and Wendi are in their 25th year of marriage, and live on site with their nine children.

Karen Dean, Parish Secretary
A 22-year veteran of Trinity Church, Karen's primary duties are welcoming and helping visitors and parishioners. She schedules all Trinity and St. Richard's events, coordinates the set-up for each event and the rotating schedule for nine security officers. She also keeps the database current. Karen spent 20 years serving on two different neighborhood community improvement boards and president of her condo association. Now her main interests are her flower gardens and creating stained glass.

Albie Marco, Financial Administrator
Albie is responsible for paying Trinity’s bills, payroll, record keeping, and the monitoring and reporting of all financial data. He moved from the Philippines to the U.S. in 2003. He and his wife Aileen have two sons, Aaron Matthew born in 2004 and Alfred Benjamin (Alben) born in 2006. His family loves traveling and camping.
