Annual giving

Annual pledging is the regular practice of returning to God a portion of all that God has given us. It involves teaching ourselves how to create a life built upon the notion that all that we have is a gift from God.

This includes teaching the holy habits of keeping Sabbath and tithing and the concept that giving regularly of our time, talent, and money to God’s work on this earth is as much a spiritual practice as prayer and worship.

We encourage proportional giving in the form of annual pledging, which supports the whole ministry of Trinity Church. Proportional giving is a two-step process:

    • Take inventory of all your blessings, including financial. The exercise is worth the effort if only for the spirit of gratitude it can awaken in you. It can also sharpen your awareness of what you have and how best to use and give what you have.
    • Give back to God a prayerfully considered proportion of your blessings as a material expression of your gratitude. A pledge to Trinity Church, made in advance of each calendar year equips us to do God’s work together and enables us to plan—to set ministry goals for that year.
