ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES
Trinity Church Shepherd Groups
Some in our congregation have expressed a desire to strengthen ties with one another by creating opportunities to gather in small groups of parishioners outside of the church. In response, we propose an experiment: Trinity Shepherd Groups. Register by April 25.
Adult Forum

We gather to celebrate and strengthen our life together.
- April 18: State of the Parish update. Gather at 9:15 in the Fortune Room or following the 10:15 service in the church for a conversation about our parish life together. We offer updates about budget, ministry priorities and opportunities to worship, learn and serve at Trinity.
- April 25: Education for Ministry. EFM is a diocesan program for lay leadership training offered at Trinity Church and through many congregations in our diocese. The program was developed by the School of Theology at Sewanee as a way to bring seminary education to congregations. On this day, Trinity EFM mentor Sara Bean describes the process and answers questions about the program. We plan to begin a new EFM class in fall 2010.
- May 2, 9, 16 and 23: Dietrich Bonhoeffer's Life Together. Father Tom leads a four-week conversation based on this classic written by the German pastor, theologian and martyr Dietrich Bonhoeffer. As a professor and writer, he emerged as one of the leaders of the Confessing Church in Germany in the 1930s and spoke out courageously against the tyranny of the Nazi regime. As an avowed pacifist, he came to realize that assassinating Hitler was the only solution. He joined in a plot to that end. Bonhoeffer was executed on Hitler's orders in 1945 during the waning months of the war. Participants are encouraged to read the text as part of the conversation. If you want Trinity Church to order a copy of the book for you, please register by April 18 by signing a sign-up sheet in the Cloister Room or by e-mailing Rev. Grace. The cost of the book is $10.
Journey in Faith
Wednesdays, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

- March 17. This week we welcome the Very Rev. Bob Giannini, former dean of Christ Church Cathedral and Canon Theologian of our diocese. He leads a conversation about future hope and Christian eschatology.
Benedictine Study Group
First and Third Sundays

2nd floor of the school building
The Benedictine Study Group gathers for prayer and study of Benedictine spirituality and how to claim the gifts of St. Benedict's path in our daily lives. They schedule occasional retreats for prayer and discernment. For information about how you can be a part of the group, contact Diantha Daniels at 925-9078 or Susan Sloss at (765) 883-7209. Join us - for every study group gathering or occasionally. You are always welcome.
Currently, the group is reading and reflecting upon Always We Begin Again by John McQuiston II, a contemporary interpretation of the Rule of St. Benedict. Our conversation focuses on the section on "Self-forgetfulness" which begins "Our ultimate goal is this: to forget ourselves."
