Prayer Opportunities
Centering Prayer Continues
Due to popular request, Centering Prayer continues on Wednesday nights from 7 to 8:30 pm in the St. Richard's library. Don't think you need to have attended the previous sessions....all are welcome.
The method of prayer prepares us to receive the gift of God's presence. It consists of responding to the Spirit of Christ by consenting to God's presence and action within. It quiets our faculties to cooperate with the gift of God's presence that is already present in each of us.
The centerpiece of each Wednesday evening is to pray together in a contemplative manner - silently - for 20 minutes. The evenings will also be accented with various activities such as contemplative walks, reading together from works from those who have lived the contemplative life, doing lectio divina on the gospel reading for the coming Sunday, viewing videos and doing the Divine Hour of Compline.
