Our Partners in Ministry

We're more than just a church at the corner of 33rd and Meridian; we're a constellation of urban ministries with the Trinity as source and center.

    St. Richard's Episcopal School
Our universe began expanding 50 years ago. In 1960, then-rector Ernest Lynch, along with Indianapolis Star owner Eugene Pulliam and other parish leaders, founded St. Richard’s.

Now independent in governance but as always united with us in mission, the school encompasses pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.  St. Richard’s combines the best of classical curriculum with a religious environment that’s solid at the core of Christian faith, yet open to all faith traditions.

Then in 2008 we took another quantum leap opening Trinity Outreach Center at 3333 Meridian just to the north of church and school. Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, Precious Gifts Visionaries Childcare and Mid-North Food Pantry moved in as strategic partners.

All three provide services at quality levels far beyond what we as a parish alone could offer. Trinity's own weekly Sunday Dinner ministry completes the cluster of outreach services at that location.

What you'll find at Trinity Outreach Center

Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic  is a faith-based, non-profit corporation offering legal representation and preventive law education to low income families, including immigrant families. Birthed for the purpose of serving the poor as a means of demonstrating the love of Christ, they go the extra mile for clients and seek to be known as a place of refuge and hope for those who are downtrodden and disadvantaged. The legal clinic accepts clients in the greater Indianapolis metro area whose income is at or below 125 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.

The Mid-North Food Pantry is a charitable, non-profit agency supported by the member churches of the Mid-North Church Council, which pledge monetary support and collect food to stock its shelves. The U.S. Department of Agriculture and Gleaner’s Food Bank help with provisions, along with Kroger’s and Panera Bread. Committed volunteers from area churches distribute free bags of groceries, home grown produce and household items to individual and families who fall below poverty level.

Precious Gifts Visionaries Childcare Ministry  exists to support families by providing high quality, full-day developmental care for children ages six weeks to 12 years old, predicated on the belief that the foundation for life is laid during a person's first five years of life. The organization offers a challenging and supportive environment for each individual child... one in which family, school, and Godly teachings work together to give children the opportunity to develop responsible citizenship with strong Christian character and values.

Staff cares for 50 to 70 children per week, 5 am to 10 pm, Monday-Friday. For more information contact Pastor Toni Bunch at (317) 926-4438.

Trinity’s Sunday Dinner ministry began as idea back in 2006. Since then, with the help of six teams comprised of at least 10 volunteers each, everyone who shows up at noon gets a hot, well-balanced meal—about 60 to 100 people every Sunday.

Our youngest volunteer is 9 years old. She serves as dessert and beverage hostess.

The newest star in the constellation: Project Home Indy

Purchased by Trinity in 2001 as a “land banking” investment, the “alley house”  mid-block between Meridian and Pennsylvania, on the north side of 32nd Street, swarmed with construction crews as a much-needed new ministry prepared to take life: Project Home Indy (PHI). Led by a visionary group of young professionals, PHI is poised to open a comprehensive residential support program for pregnant and parenting teens, young women who with their children, would otherwise be trapped in a cycle of poverty... plans are underway for official opening celebration in late July 2011 with girls starting their residency in August.
