Upcoming Outreach Opportunities

Trinity offers many opportunities for putting faith into action. To put your skills to work in the community, contact the Rev. Karen L. King, Associate Rector of Mission and Outreach, at 926-1346, ext. 403, or kking@TrinityChurchIndy.org.

For the Food Pantry
May is one of two months Trinity Church committed to provide food items such as canned goods, cereal, peanut butter, mac and cheese, and personal hygiene items like toothpaste and soap to the Mid-North Food Pantry. Monetary gifts are always appreciated. The red collection barrel is located in the south tower door of the church. Trinity members are always generous in their efforts to our church community, and the food pantry appreciates our efforts to do God's work.

Mid-North Food Pantry
Thanks to the generosity and ongoing support of Trinity Church, the Mid-North Food Pantry now offers food to clients twice a month rather than the current one visit per month. That means that over time, the organization will need twice as much food and monetary donations.

Gleaners Food Bank distribution date
Volunteers are needed for the next distribution date for Gleaners Food Bank. Date TBD. Set-up is at 9 a.m. with food distribution at Trinity from 10 am until noon. This is a great volunteer opportunity for families with children 12 years of age and older. Sign up in the Fortune Room. Questions? Call the Rev. Karen L. King at 926-1346, ext. 403 or Robert Wilson at (317) 925-0191, ext. 107.

Share a meal
For several years now, Trinity volunteers have been preparing and serving dinner to the residents of the Dayspring Center on the 3rd Sunday of every month. The center provides emergency shelter, clothing and three meals a day for homeless families with children. From its inception in June 2005 through June 2007, volunteers have served 875 dinners to those in need. Interested? Contact Karen L. King at (317) 926-1346, ext. 403, or kking@TrinityChurchIndy.org.
