African Dinner and Benefit
You are cordially invited to an African Dinner and Benefit to help cover cancer treatment costs for Trinity parishionerAmanda Freeman on Sunday, June 24, from 6 - 8 pm at the Ruth Lilly Activities Center at St. Richard's School. Entertainment will be provided by Prince Julius Adeniyi's Drums of West Africa band. Suggested donations are $10 per person, $30 per family. If you haven't yet had the chance to spend some time with Amanda Jenneh Freeman, you should. Relatively new to our Trinity family, Amanda came to the U.S. in May of 2006, and was joyfully greeted at the airport by her sister and brother-in-law, Clara Jimmy-Samba and Nathaniel Samba, whom she had seen only once in the last 18 years. Amanda told me that the two sisters just held each other, weeping, and saying over and over again, "Oh, by God, thanks be to God." ...
